The Avia S-199 was a postwar Czechoslovak fighter derived from the design of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 and fitted with an available Junkers Jumo engine. That combination produced a machine with demanding flying characteristics, known among pilots by the nickname Mezek, meaning mule. The aircraft also became famous for its service in the first months of the Israeli Air Force.
With older molds, expect to clean up the parts, check the fit and fill where needed. Glue with thin plastic cement. Apply a primer before painting; lay the decals on a gloss surface and seal them with a matte varnish according to the finish you want.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
