This resin detail set from the Czech maker CMK refines the landing gear of a model of the Avro Lancaster Mk.I/III bomber in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a set of replacement parts: usually detailed main landing gear wheels, the tail wheel and thinner, more accurate landing gear bay doors with suggested riveting. They replace the simplified plastic parts and visibly raise the realism.
The Avro Lancaster was a British four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War, famous for night raids and for the Dam Busters operation. The Mk.I and Mk.III versions differed mainly in their engines. The landing gear and its bays are among the prominent details of the underside of a model.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the wheels with the rubber tread distinguished from the hub and bring the bays out with a wash.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
