B-24 turbochargers (1:72) is a resin accessory set of turbochargers for models of the four-engined B-24 Liberator bomber from Eduard. It replaces the plastic parts with sharper castings and adds fine photo-etched metal.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin accessory set from the Eduard Brassin line brings the turbochargers of the American B-24 Liberator bomber faithfully in 1:72 scale. Sharply cast resin parts completed by fine photo-etched metal replace the plastic parts from the box and raise the detail of the engine nacelles. It is a detail accessory, not an aircraft kit.
The B-24 Liberator was one of the most numerously built American heavy bombers of the Second World War. Its Pratt & Whitney radial engines were supercharged by turbochargers, which gave the aircraft its performance at high altitude. These units were visible around the engine nacelles and are among the characteristic details of the aircraft.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, separate the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and the photo-etched parts are bent with a bending tool. The metal parts come out once painted in a dark steel shade with a hint of heat discoloration.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
