A resin detail set of landing gear wheels in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Eduard, from the Brassin line. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory that replaces the plastic wheels from the box with more accurate castings with a fine tire pattern and a faithful hub. The set is intended for models of the twin-engined B-25 Mitchell bomber and covers the main wheels as well as the nose wheel.
The set brings wheels cast in resin and a mask for cleanly separating the tires from the hubs during painting. The finely rendered tread and the sidewall texture give the landing gear a realistic look that injection-molded plastic usually cannot match. The wheels can also be seated with a weighted flat spot for the impression of a standing aircraft.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). When painting, use the enclosed mask and bring out the details with a glaze and a light dusting of pigments for the effect of service wear.
This is an add-on detail set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
