UM BA-1 1:72 is an injection-molded plastic kit of the early Soviet armored car on a truck chassis.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian maker UM represents the early Soviet BA-1 armored car. The model is molded in injection plastic with fine detail and suits modelers who have taken to less usual interwar vehicles. The wheeled chassis with its tandem rear axle is faithfully done.
The BA-1 was one of the first Soviet heavy armored cars built on a truck chassis with a 6x4 layout. It carried a turret with a gun of smaller caliber and machine guns and served for reconnaissance and infantry support at the start of the 1930s. It was the forerunner of the later and more widespread cars of the BA series.
Assemble the chassis and the axles first, then the hull and the turret. Glue the plastic with liquid cement for plastic. Once the primer and a uniform green have been sprayed on, bring the model to life with a wash in the recesses and pigments for dust effects on the wheels and the chassis.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
