A detail set for a model of the Bell H-13 light helicopter in 1:72 scale, intended for the Italeri kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bell H-13 is a light helicopter with a glazed bubble cabin, a lattice tail boom and skids instead of wheels. It became famous as a liaison and medical machine, on which the wounded were carried in stretchers fixed to the sides. The structure is largely exposed, so on a finished model you can see even what on other machines is hidden under the skin.
The set adds more finely rendered parts to the Italeri kit in 1:72 scale. The extent of the package is given in the manufacturer's instructions; from them you can also tell which parts of the kit are replaced and where material has to be removed from the model. Given the small scale, sort the small parts out in advance and work over a tray with raised edges, because a lost part is very hard to find at this size. Tweezers with rounded tips will serve better than sharp ones, from which a small part springs away.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water before painting and let them dry. Cut the excess material and production marks off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts, and on clear parts use one that will not fog them. Paint and fit the interior of the cabin before you set the glazing in place: under the bubble absolutely everything is visible, and once it is closed there is no way inside.
The package contains the parts of the set. The helicopter kit, paints and glue are not supplied, unless stated otherwise.
