Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Bell UH-1B Iroquois utility helicopter, known worldwide by the nickname Huey, in 1:72 scale from the Italian manufacturer Italeri. The model captures the early combat version with its characteristic rounded nose and short cabin. The package contains plastic sprues and decals for a period finish. The kit suits modelers with basic as well as more advanced experience.
The UH-1 Iroquois is one of the most widely used helicopters in history. The UH-1B version became famous in the Vietnam War, where it served to carry troops, to evacuate the wounded and as armed support with machine guns and rocket pods. The typical sound of its two-blade rotor became a symbol of that conflict. The Huey shaped the tactics of infantry airmobility for decades to come.
Finish and paint the cabin interior before you put the fuselage together, as it is harder to reach later. Glue the parts with liquid polystyrene cement, glue the glazing with cement for clear parts and mask it beforehand. For an even olive green or a period camouflage an airbrush and a light base are ideal. Clean the rotor blades and the landing gear struts up to a slender shape. A dark wash in the panel lines and fine dust pigments create the weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
