An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 fighter in 1:72 scale from Italeri. The Aces boxing concentrates on the markings of the most successful German fighter pilots of the Second World War. The box holds plastic sprues, clear parts for the canopy and a decal sheet with several marking options. Depending on the version there are also optional extras in the box, such as a tropical dust filter or underwing armament. Check the exact contents on the packaging of the particular item.
The Bf 109G, nicknamed Gustav, was the most numerously produced family of the famous Messerschmitt Bf 109. The G-6 version of 1943 became the most widespread of all, and its recognition feature was the characteristic blisters over the guns on the nose. A number of legendary German aces flew this type, and the Gustav served on every front until the end of the war.
Cut the parts off the sprues and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Paint the cockpit and pick out its detail before the fuselage is closed, and mask the glazing; the three-piece canopy can also be shown open. Lay the paints on with an airbrush, apply the aces decals over gloss and pick the panel lines out lightly with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
