A set of self-adhesive painting masks from Eduard in 1:72 scale for a model of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3 fighter. The masks are die-cut from kabuki masking tape and serve for a clean spray finish on the cockpit glazing and the edges of the wheels. It is not a kit but a masking accessory.
The Bf 109E, nicknamed the Emil, was an early combat variant of the legendary German fighter. The E-3 version carried the Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine and was among the main Luftwaffe types at the start of the Second World War, not least in the Battle of Britain. The Emil's cockpit has the angular framing characteristic of the early 109s.
Stick the mask onto degreased glazing, press it against the frames and spray with an airbrush in thin layers. In 1:72 scale a mask makes sharp outlining of the small cockpit frames easy and saves time compared with a brush by hand.
This is an accessory (painting masks), not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
