The detail set 1:72 Bf-109F LooK replaces the instrument panel on a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 F fighter.

An accessory in 1:72 scale from the LööK range, cut for a model of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter in the F version. It is a ready-made detail for the cockpit which replaces the instrument panel from the plastic kit. In a small scale this part of the cockpit tends to be only suggested by engraving and painting it by hand is a lengthy job, yet through an open canopy the panel is the first thing to be seen.
The Bf 109 F, nicknamed the Friedrich, was the aerodynamically cleanest form of the whole family. Compared with the earlier versions it received rounded wingtips and a reworked engine cowling, and the tailplane struts disappeared. The armament was concentrated in the fuselage and in the space between the engine cylinders, which improved the flying qualities at the cost of less firepower. The F version is popular among modelers precisely for its clean lines and tends to be built in the whole range of finishes from North Africa to the Eastern Front.
Try the part dry first and make sure that once it is glued in, the fuselage closes with no gap. Glue it in spots with cyanoacrylate and avoid any excess, which could fog the surface of the instruments. Unify the area around the panel with the interior shade and bring out the depth with a fine wash. Until the fuselage is closed, it is better to mask the finished detail so that it is not marked by sanding or overspray.
