Eduard 1:72 Bf 109G-4 LööK is an accessory set with the instrument panel for a model of the German fighter Messerschmitt Bf 109G-4.
Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory set from the LööK line of the Czech manufacturer Eduard concentrates on the instrument panel and the immediate surroundings of the front panel. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model in 1:72 scale. It is precisely the front panel that tends to be the hardest part of the cabin to handle in small scales, because the individual instruments are fractions of a millimeter across and are hard to paint by hand.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G-4 was the unpressurized counterpart of the G-3 version and it reached the units in the spring of 1943. It was powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine and against earlier machines it received larger main wheels, because of which characteristic bulges appeared on the upper surface of the wing. It also carried a modernized radio set. Machines of this form flew on the Eastern Front and in the Mediterranean, and many of them were later brought up to the standard of the following versions.
Before you reach for the glue, try the part dry. The original plastic panel usually needs thinning or partly cutting away, so that the new piece seats in the right position and does not get in the way of joining the fuselage. Work with tweezers, glue in spots and avoid any glue flowing onto a visible surface. A matte varnish will bring the surrounding parts of the cabin together. The enclosed instructions show the exact placing of the parts, and it pays to follow them from the first step.
