An instrument panel from Eduard's LööK range for a model of the Bf 109G-6 fighter in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bf 109G-6 was the most widespread version of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter. Its recognition feature is the bulged fairings on the upper surface of the forward fuselage, which were called for by the bulkier breeches of the cowl machine guns; modelers have a familiar name for them taken from their shape. The version was built in large numbers and differed in equipment and armament, so it offers a wide choice of machines that can be built.
The set from the LööK range brings an instrument panel for a model of the Bf 109G-6 in 1:72 scale. The panel is fitted in place of the part from the kit, and because it is a part of the cockpit on view, its turn comes right at the start of the build. Which kit the set is designed for and exactly how the panel is handled are described in the manufacturer's instructions.
Try the fit dry before you reach for the glue; in 1:72 scale a tenth of a millimeter is enough and the canopy will no longer seat. Dose the glue in a minute amount, ideally with a pin, so that it does not wick onto the visible surface. Finish and close the cockpit only once the panel is seated and dry. Any final touching up with paint and varnish is described in the manufacturer's instructions.
The set suits a modeler who is building a Bf 109G-6 in a small scale and wants a readable instrument panel in the cockpit without the lengthy painting of tiny dials. It is an accessory to a kit; the model itself, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
