An easy-build injection-molded plastic kit of the early-production German Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 fighter in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. It belongs to the simplified easy build range with snap-together parts, which can be assembled quickly and without much experience. The designation early refers to the early production form of the G-6 version.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was the main German fighter throughout the Second World War. The G series, nicknamed Gustav, was the most widely produced line and the Bf 109G-6 its most numerous variant. It was powered by the liquid-cooled Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine. The early form of the G-6 can be recognized by airframe details; later machines received, for example, a taller rudder or further modifications. The type was operated by the Luftwaffe on every front.
The parts are designed to snap together, but the joints hold more securely once a drop of plastic cement is run into them. Clean up the flash and sand down the mold seams. Even a simplified model looks best painted: apply a primer and spray with an airbrush or a brush in thin coats; German camouflage benefits from panel lines picked out with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
