A resin detail accessory from Quickboost, made by Aires, in 1:72 scale. The set replaces the cover over the forward gun armament with a more faithfully rendered resin part with fine relief. It is not an aircraft model but a stand-alone accessory that raises the fidelity of the front of the machine.

The real subject

The Messerschmitt Bf 110 was a German twin-engine heavy fighter of the Second World War. The early C-1, C-2 and C-3 versions carried concentrated gun armament in the nose of the fuselage, covered by a shaped panel.

Building and painting tips

Wash the part to remove any mold release residue, separate the casting block carefully and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check that it seats on the nose of the fuselage before gluing. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
