The photo-etched set 1:72 Bf-110G-2 from the Czech manufacturer Eduard is a metal accessory for a model of this twin-engine aircraft in the small 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched metal parts for a model of the Bf-110G-2 in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit. In 1:72 scale the difference between a plastic and a photo-etched part is particularly plain to see: a part that in plastic is several times thicker to scale than it should be gets the right thickness in metal, and the model at once looks finer.
The full set, not the smaller Zoom
Alongside full photo-etched sets Eduard also makes the smaller pre-painted sets of the Zoom line. This is the full set. Check the extent of the package and the number of parts on the packaging.
The Messerschmitt Bf 110 is a twin-engine, two-seat aircraft with twin vertical tail surfaces, used during the Second World War. The G series is a late development version with more powerful engines. Thanks to its wingspan the model in 1:72 scale is fairly large even in this small scale, so the detail pays off.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel or photo-etch scissors on a hard surface, and never break them out by twisting. Make the bends over the edge of a bender or over a razor blade, so that they are sharp and straight. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue applied in a really small amount; on larger areas a two-part epoxy helps, as it gives time to seat the part. Degrease unpainted metal before painting and go over it with a primer, otherwise the paint holds poorly and peels off when the model is handled.
The set is an accessory for a kit, not a model in its own right. The kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
