A set of cast resin position lights from Quickboost for a plastic model of the German Messerschmitt Bf 110G twin-engine heavy fighter in 1:72 scale. The aftermarket accessory replaces the kit plastic parts with finer castings, which can be finished in color to capture the real navigation lights on the wingtips better.

The real subject

The Messerschmitt Bf 110 was a German twin-engine heavy fighter of the Second World War period. The G series was used above all as a night fighter and in the bomber-destroyer role; it was powered by two V12 engines and carried heavy built-in armament.

Building and painting tips

Wash the parts to remove any mold release residue, separate the casting blocks carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It is worth finishing the faces of the lights with clear varnish or with color, and masking them only at the end of the build.
