About product

Boeing Chinook HC.1 BASIC kabuki masks (1:72, New Ware)

A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive painting masks in kabuki (washi) paper tape for a model of the Boeing Chinook HC.1 heavy helicopter in 1:72 scale. The masks follow the glazing frames and serve for a perfectly crisp spray of the glazed areas. The BASIC version covers the cockpit glazing and windows, the wheels and the nose section.

Use

  • First clean and degrease the glazing, and transfer the individual mask pieces with tweezers.
  • Press the film down carefully all around the perimeter of the frames so that paint does not run under it.
  • Spray thin coats; take the mask off while the paint is still fresh.

The real subject

The Chinook HC.1 is the British version of the heavy transport helicopter with a tandem arrangement of two rotors, operated by the Royal Air Force to carry troops and cargo.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers who want crisp spray transitions without lengthy masking by hand.
  • Builders of aircraft models in 1:72 scale.

These are painting masks, not a kit. Paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package.

FAQ

No. It is a set of painting masks for the glazing and other parts; the model itself and paints are not included.

Self-adhesive kabuki (washi) paper tape, which conforms well to shapes and leaves no adhesive behind when peeled off.

Masks for the cockpit glazing and windows, the wheels and the nose section of the model in 1:72 scale.

Best with tweezers, while the paint is still fresh, so that the finish is not pulled away.
