A 3D-printed resin set of replacement wheels in 1:32 scale for a model of the British Supermarine Spitfire fighter. It is not a kit but a detail accessory for the main landing gear. The wheels have a four-spoke rim and are made with a weighted effect — the tire sags slightly where it meets the ground, as if the weight of the aircraft were resting on it.
Resin wheels tend to be sharper and more faithful than the plastic parts from the box, they have a fine tread pattern and tire relief, and the sag gives a standing model a more realistic stance. The swap is quick and the effect is clearly visible on the finished build.
Wash the wheels free of print resin residue, separate them from the print supports and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the rim and the tire separately, and point the sagging area straight down. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The set holds the wheels only and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
