An aftermarket detail accessory from the Hungarian company SBS Model. The set holds resin engine cowlings and exhausts for models of the British bomber the Bristol Blenheim in 1:72 scale. A more faithful shape of the cowlings and cleanly cast exhausts markedly raise the realism of the engine nacelles over the plastic parts.
The Bristol Blenheim was a British light to medium bomber of the Second World War with Bristol Mercury radial engines. The characteristic rounded cowlings of the engines and their exhausts are among the prominent recognition features of the aircraft.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and fit them carefully to the nacelles; they are bonded with super glue. Paint the exhausts separately and add pigments for a faithful metal and burnt look. Do the sanding with respiratory protection. For the full effect the set can be combined with the separate engine set from the same maker.
The accessory is supplied as unpainted resin castings. Paints, glue and the kit are not included in the package.
