A Montex masking set for a model of the Bristol Type 170 Freighter in 1:72 scale is, according to the name, cut for the outer side of the glazing.
Responsibility details are not available.
A Montex set for painting a model of this British cargo aircraft with its characteristic blunt nose. According to the name it is masking from outside, so it is advisable to deal with the frames visible from inside the cockpit before the fuselage is closed. The accessory does not replace a kit; it belongs to the finishing stage of a build.
The cargo Bristol came about to a simple brief: carry a bulky load over a short distance and land even on a makeshift airfield. The landing gear therefore stayed fixed and the fuselage was given the shape of a roomy box with clamshell doors at the front. The lengthened variant called the Superfreighter carried cars across the English Channel together with their owners and in the 1950s was among the earning machines of British air transport. Further machines worked in Canada and in New Zealand, where their toughness in harsh conditions was valued.
With a civil finish with large white areas it pays to spray from the light shades and to add the dark lines only at the end. Leave the glazing masked during the gloss coat as well, otherwise the polished layer settles on the clear part and dulls it. Paint the fixed landing gear separately from the fuselage; access to the wheels is limited once the camouflage is done. Before removing the templates, run the tip of a blade along the edge so that the paint breaks exactly on the line.
Neither the model of the cargo aircraft nor finishing materials are in the package.
