A set of plastic figures of British engineers (the Royal Engineers) of the Second World War in 1:72 scale from Zvezda. It is not a vehicle model but a set of figures that will bring a diorama to life or complete a scene with vehicles in the same scale. The package holds four figures; the parts are laid out as snap-fit, that is designed to be put together without glue. Take the poses and the equipment from the contents of the package.
The British engineer corps carried out key tasks during the war: it built and demolished bridges, cleared mines, put up fortifications and set up field facilities. Their work often decided whether terrain could be crossed, and their equipment was practical and workmanlike.
Clean up the parting lines; even with snap-fit parts it is worth reinforcing the joints with a drop of glue. Choose a fine brush and acrylic paints for figures, a dark wash in the folds and a dry brush on the raised areas. British uniforms were usually in khaki and olive tones.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
