This resin set from the Ukrainian maker Reskit contains four Browning M50 .50 caliber heavy machine guns in 1:72 scale. It is a detail accessory, not a kit: you use it to replace the coarser plastic weapons from the base model or to arm dioramas and gun positions. The castings stand out for a fineness and crispness of detail that injected plastic can hardly reach in this scale.
The .50 caliber Browning (12.7 mm) was one of the most widespread heavy machine guns of the 20th century and was mounted on aircraft, vehicles, vessels and ground mounts alike. The four separate weapons in the package let you arm defensive positions or gun positions on board, or use the individual pieces as your project needs.
Wash the parts first in lukewarm soapy water to remove any mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off carefully and sand the surfaces with your airways protected, because resin dust must not be inhaled. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before painting, apply a primer, which gives adhesion on the smooth resin.
This is a resin accessory, not a kit. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
