Eduard C-27J Spartan Masks, 1:72 is a die-cut, self-adhesive masking set for a model of the tactical transport aircraft C-27J Spartan. It gives clean paint transitions on the glazing and wheels. It is not a model, but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut, self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:72 scale is designed for a plastic model of the tactical transport aircraft C-27J Spartan. It is not a kit or a standalone model, but a set of precisely shaped masks made from thin yellow masking tape. The masks help create clean cockpit and side-window glazing frames and separate the landing-gear tires from the wheel hubs when spraying.
The C-27J Spartan is an Italian twin-engine turboprop tactical transport aircraft designed to carry cargo and troops over shorter distances. It shares engines and some equipment with a larger four-engine transport aircraft and can operate from short, unpaved airstrips. It serves with several countries' air forces on logistics, humanitarian, and special-purpose tasks.
Degrease the glazing before applying the masks and let it dry. Lift each mask from its backing with tweezers and place it on the canopy frames, pressing it firmly into the edges and filling any gaps with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in two passes of thin coats so it doesn't seep under the mask's edge. The wheel masks separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package contains only the masks. The model, paints, glue, and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
