About product

New Ware 1:72 CASA C-295M BASIC kabuki masks

A set of self-adhesive masking templates in kabuki tape from the Czech manufacturer New Ware for covering the glazing of a model of the twin-engine CASA C-295M transport aircraft in 1:72 scale. The BASIC form covers the main glazing, the cockpit and the windows, and so makes painting them easier. It is not a model and not a decal but an aid for clean masking.

Use

Lift the masks off with tweezers and apply them to the matching glazing frames according to the enclosed diagram.
Press the edges down firmly so that no paint creeps under the tape.
Spray the frame with the interior color and with the exterior finish, and peel the masks off once dry.
For maximum accuracy, spray in thin coats.

Who the set is for

Builders of transport aircraft in 1:72 scale who want clean cabin frames.
Modelers for whom hand masking takes too much time.

The masks are single-use. Degrease the glazing and clear it of dust before applying them.

FAQ

The basic set masks the main glazing, that is the cockpit and the windows; the extended sets tend to add masks for further exterior elements.

Fine kabuki tape, which follows curves well, holds its shape and leaves no adhesive when removed.

No, this is a single-use aid; once removed they lose their tack.
