A kit of a truck from the Canadian wartime design series with a box body adapted as a mobile office, in 1:72 scale. The model is a good addition for headquarters and rear-area scenes, where ordinary combat vehicles are plentiful but support equipment is scarce. Look for the number of parts, the interior fittings and the markings offered in the manufacturer's instructions.
The C60L type is one of the Canadian Military Pattern trucks, which were built in large numbers and differed in the cab, the wheelbase and the body. The longer wheelbase referred to by the letter L made it possible to carry bulky box bodies. The office version served headquarters and administrative units that needed to work with documents and communications even while the unit was on the move. The vehicle therefore looks more civilian than combat equipment, and in a diorama it works as a natural focus of the action.
In 1:72 scale, bet on clean joints: cut the parts off with sprue cutters, sand the sprue-gate remains and glue with a thin glue in small doses. Finish and paint the frame and the axles before you cover them with the body. The large flat wall of the box will take gentle shading and a suggestion of panels; rather only hint at sharp lines, otherwise the model looks coarse. Apply the dust from below, strongest on the wheels and the fenders. Fit small additions such as mirrors and handles right at the end so that they do not break off while handling.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
