1:48 Blackburn Buccaneer S.2B Gulf War is a Zoom photo-etched set from Eduard for a model of the British attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
At the Czech maker Eduard, Zoom is a smaller photo-etched set. It concentrates on what is most visible: the instrument panel and the panels in the cockpit, and the seat belts. Compared with the full photo-etched set for the same type it is smaller in scope but quicker to use, which suits you when you want to lift the cockpit but do not want to embark on extensive work on the outside. It is an accessory for a model, not an aircraft kit.
The Blackburn Buccaneer was a British attack aircraft made for breaking through at low altitude over the sea. The S.2 version received Rolls-Royce Spey turbojets, and the S.2B was the land-based variant for the Royal Air Force; you can recognize it by the bulged housing under the fuselage, into which the tank from the original bomb bay was moved. In 1991 Britain deployed Buccaneers over the Persian Gulf, where their laser designator guided bombs dropped by other machines. It was the last great chapter of an aircraft built for hard low-level flying in the turbulence near the ground.
The parts in the set belong in the cockpit, so fit them before you glue the fuselage halves together. Bend the seat belts step by step so that they drape over the seat naturally and do not read as sheet metal. Fit the instrument panel only after a dry test: one extra layer can keep things from seating. Glue with cyanoacrylate in a vanishing amount applied on the tip of a toothpick.
