Armory 1:72 Concorde — a set of resin wheels with weighted tires (the late type) is a detailed resin replacement for the landing gear wheels for models of the Concorde supersonic airliner.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the maker Armory is not a standalone kit, but a detail accessory — precisely cast resin wheels intended to replace the plastic parts on models of the Concorde supersonic airliner in 1:72 scale. The tires are executed as weighted, with a realistic compression at the place where they settle onto a surface, which on a large aircraft with multi-wheel landing gear units markedly improves the impression of the finished model. The designation late type refers to the corresponding service execution of the wheels.
The Concorde is a British and French supersonic airliner with a delta wing, operated from the 1970s to 2003. Thanks to its high landing speed and sturdy construction it carries a massive main landing gear with several wheels per unit, so faithfully executed wheels belong among the details that everyone notices on a model.
Wash the parts with lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off, clean the surfaces up and protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the tires in a matte dark gray and the wheel rims according to photographs of the real subject.
The set contains only the resin parts of the wheels; it is not a standalone model and it does not contain glue or paints. A corresponding base plastic kit is needed in order to use it.
