A sheet of waterslide decals from HAD models covering the period markings of Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighters in the G-6 version, both with the Hungarian Air Force and with the Luftwaffe. Hungarian markings are commonly handled better on local sheets than on the decals from a box, because the manufacturer works from domestic references. The sheet is meant to supplement or replace the decals from a kit.
The Bf 109 G-6 is the most widespread version of the whole G family. Its characteristic external feature is the bulged fairings over the engine, which came about because of the larger breeches of the 13 mm synchronized machine guns. The aircraft was powered by a liquid-cooled inverted V12 Daimler-Benz engine of the 605 series. The G-6 version was built in many production blocks, so individual machines differ in the shape of the canopy, the fin and the equipment, which is worth keeping in mind while building.
Go over the base with gloss clear coat, as silvering occurs on matte paint. Cut the designs out as closely as possible, soak them in warm water and let them release of their own accord. Lay the large areas of fuselage marking down over a thin film of water, so that they can still be moved, and press the surplus out with a soft cloth from the center out to the edges. Across the engraved lines and the bulged fairings a softener helps. Once dry, unify the surface with matte varnish and only then weather it.
This is a sheet of decals in its own right, not a kit. The model, paints, varnishes and softeners are not included in the package.
