The plastic kit Dewoitine D.520 over Africa in 1:72 scale from Hobby 2000 - the French fighter of the Second World War in the form used on the North African battlefield.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the French fighter aircraft Dewoitine D.520 in 1:72 scale from Hobby 2000, in an edition focused on machines deployed over North Africa. The package combines quality plastic parts with quality decals for several color schemes and is usually supplemented with masks for the glazing. The edition thus makes it possible to build the aircraft in the form it carried on the African and Mediterranean battlefield.
The Dewoitine D.520 was the best French fighter aircraft of the beginning of the Second World War. It had a V-12 engine, a slender aerodynamic structure and an armament of a cannon with machine guns. Although it joined the fighting of 1940 late and in small numbers, it proved good flying qualities. After the armistice it served with French units including those in North Africa and the Mediterranean and flew in the colors of further users as well. Over Africa it carried characteristic recognition markings and camouflage adapted to the local setting.
Paint and fit the cockpit before closing up the fuselage. Mask the glazing with the enclosed masks and glue it in at the very end. For the North African machines choose a period French camouflage and do not forget the striking recognition markings on the fuselage and the tail. Apply the decals onto a gloss coat so that no silvering edges appear, and add weathering sparingly with dust and wear on the leading edges.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
