A set of double-sided painting masks of the Omask brand for models of the German DFS 230 assault glider in 1:72 scale. The masks are precisely cut and cover the outer as well as the inner side of the glazed cabin, so the frames get clean sharp edges from both views, which is an advantage especially with glazed cabins where the interior is clearly visible. This is not a kit and not a set of parts but an aid for painting. The set is cut for the parts of the Bronco kit; on a model from another maker the shapes may not agree.

The real subject

The DFS 230 was a German engineless assault glider of the Second World War, used to land airborne troops and cargo; it became famous above all for its use in raiding operations.

Use

• Lift the masks off the carrier film and place them separately on the outer and the inner side of the glazing.
• Press the edges down carefully so that the paint does not creep underneath.
• Spray the shade of the frame, let it dry and lift the masks off carefully.
