Plastic kit Dornier Do 17F in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer RS models - the German reconnaissance aircraft of the early Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the German twin-engine aircraft Dornier Do 17F in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer RS models. The Do 17F version was the long-range reconnaissance variant with cameras. It is a short-run kit; depending on the release, the package may also contain small photo-etched or resin extras. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Dornier Do 17 was a German twin-engine aircraft with a characteristically slender fuselage, for which it was given the nickname the Flying Pencil. The Do 17F version served as a long-range photo-reconnaissance machine: instead of a bomb bay it carried reconnaissance cameras and additional fuel for a longer range. It was used in the opening phases of the Second World War for photographic reconnaissance. The real aircraft was fast and, for its time, aerodynamically clean.
Short-run parts have heavier attachment points and fewer locating pins - dry-fit them and count on sanding and filling the joints of the fuselage and the nacelles. Mask the cabin glazing and fit it only after the interior has been painted. A base coat over primer; the typical German camouflage with dark green shades on top and a light underside comes out well after highlighting the panels with a thin wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
