A photo-etched set for a model of the Dornier Do 335A-0 aircraft in 1:72 scale. Thin metal parts supply the shapes plastic cannot carry in a small scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Dornier Do 335 is among the strangest aircraft of the Second World War. It had both engines housed in the fuselage one behind the other: the front one drove a tractor propeller in the nose, the rear one a pusher propeller behind the tail. The tail surfaces therefore formed a cross and the machine gained a slender shape with no engine nacelles on the wing. The A-0 version was the pre-production one, from the first completed examples.
Photo-etched metal parts for a Do 335A-0 model in 1:72 scale. They are meant for a modeler who already has the kit and wants to sharpen up the places where a plastic part would have to stay too thick. The list of parts and the order of assembly are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
In 1:72 scale the parts are genuinely tiny, so work over a tray or a light-colored cloth; whatever falls on the floor is usually never found. Separate a part with a sharp blade on a hard surface and true the burr with fine abrasive paper. Make the bends along a straight edge and press down along the whole length at once. On metal, use cyanoacrylate or two-part glue and apply it in a really small quantity, otherwise the excess wicks into the surroundings. Degrease unpainted parts before spraying and give them a base color.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
