A resin detail accessory from the maker Quickboost (the Aires brand) intended for a plastic kit of the twin-engine Douglas C-47 Skytrain transport aircraft in 1:72 scale. The set contains a pair of replacement engine air intakes cast in resin that take the place of the parts from the box. It is not an airplane model but a separate part for raising the detail of a finished kit. The replacement intakes are cast in one piece, so the gluing together of the multi-part items from the original kit falls away and fitting them is simpler.

Use

• A replacement for the original engine air intakes on a C-47 Skytrain plastic kit in 1:72 scale.
• Separate the parts from the casting block carefully with a saw or a sharp knife and clean up the cut.
• Wash any remains of mold release off the resin parts before gluing.
• Bond them to plastic with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or epoxy — ordinary plastic cement will not join resin.

For advanced modelers who want to refine the detail of the engine nacelles of their C-47 and do not mind working with resin. The base kit and glue are not included in the package.
