Photo-etched duckbills for Sherman tracks 1:72 (Hauler) are a photo-etched accessory, the extension end connectors for the track links. It is not a kit but a detail set.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set, not a model. It contains the so-called duckbills, extension end connectors for the track links, for models of the American medium tank Sherman in 1:72 scale. The maker is the Czech company Hauler.
Duckbills were metal extensions fitted to the edges of the track links that widened the bearing surface of the track. Sherman crews used them to lower the ground pressure on soft going, in mud and in snow, so that the heavy tank did not sink in so far. It was a typical field and factory modification from the end of the Second World War.
Separate the individual extensions from the photo-etched fret, bend them slightly if needed and glue them to the edges of the track links with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal and prime it. The work takes longer because of the number of small parts, but the result brings the running gear noticeably to life.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
