An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer ACE. The package holds plastic parts, a photo-etched part, soft rubber tires and a decal sheet with several marking options. It is a detailed model of a small armored car, suitable for collectors of modern wheeled hardware.
The Eland-90 is a South African light wheeled armored car, 4x4, derived from the French Panhard AML. It went through a number of modifications, among them a change to a water-cooled engine and a lengthening of the hull. Armed with a 90 mm gun, it served for reconnaissance as well as fire support and was fielded, besides by the South African armed forces, in other African countries too.
Deal with the interior and the lower parts before you close the hull up; glue the plastic parts with thin cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply filler primer, spray the camouflage with an airbrush and paint the tires separately. You create the patina with a dark wash into the recesses and with dust or mud pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
