1:48 Decals Sukhoi Su-22M4 stencils (Polish) from L Decals Studio is a sheet of technical lettering for models of the Su-22M4 fighter-bomber in its Polish rendering.
Responsibility details are not available.
A specialized decal sheet from L Decals Studio in 1:48 scale holding the technical lettering and maintenance captions of the Sukhoi Su-22M4 as the machines carried them in Polish service. It is neither a kit nor a sheet of national insignia and fuselage numbers: these are the additional small captions that add a layer of detail to a model for which there is usually no room on the sheets in a box.
The Su-22M4 is the export version of the Soviet Su-17M4 fighter-bomber with a variable-geometry wing in its outer panels, which combines decent takeoff qualities with a high speed in level flight. The machine was intended above all for attacks on ground targets and for reconnaissance with an external pod. The Polish Air Force was among the significant users of the type and operated it for long decades, including later upgrades, thanks to which the Polish Su-22s are a well documented subject and a popular one among modelers.
The technical lettering is very small, so the base matters even more than with large designs: always a gloss clear coat, clean and degreased. Cut the design out as close as possible, transfer it with tweezers and move it with a soft brush. Use a decal softener so that the lettering settles into the engraved lines and does not bridge a panel gap. Work over small areas at a time and draw off the excess water as you go. Finally unify everything with a semi-matte varnish and only then apply the weathering.
The package holds decals only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
