Model of the special version of the Embraer EMB-145 aircraft, carried under the EMB-145RS and P-99 designations, in 1:72 scale. It is supplied as a kit to be assembled and painted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Embraer EMB-145 is a Brazilian airliner with a slender fuselage, a low-set wing and a T-tail. It is driven by two turbofan engines in nacelles on the sides of the rear fuselage. A whole series of special versions grew out of this proven base; they kept the flying qualities of the airliner but carry different equipment. The EMB-145RS and P-99 designations belong among them and point to reconnaissance and patrol tasks.
The special versions are interesting for a modeler through what sets them apart from the airliner at a glance: additions on the fuselage, a different arrangement of windows and a service finish instead of airline colors. The cabinet thus gains an aircraft that will not blend in among the usual 1:72 fighters. Which particular finish and additions the kit covers is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The long slender fuselage is glued in sections, so dry-fit the joints before gluing and support the fuselage while it dries so that it does not warp. The T-tail pulls the model toward the rear, so check in advance whether weight is needed in the nose. The continuous single-color areas of the fuselage reveal every unevenness, so sand the filler back carefully and wash and degrease the surface before spraying.
The model will be appreciated by the collector of transport and special-mission aircraft as well as by the modeler looking for an aircraft outside the usual choice. Paints, glue and accessory sets are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
