A resin detail set from Aires in 1:72 scale meant to raise the fidelity of the cockpit of the American F-100D Super Sabre. It is not a model of the aircraft but an aftermarket accessory that replaces the plastic cockpit of a suitable kit with finely cast resin parts.
The F-100D Super Sabre is a single-seat supersonic fighter-bomber, one of the first production aircraft able to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. The cockpit with its instrument panel and seat is clearly visible on a model through the opening in the top of the fuselage.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Check the fit of the cockpit against the fuselage of the kit. The interior comes out well once painted, with the instruments brought out and a fine wash in the recesses.
This is an accessory in resin. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
