A resin detail set for the plastic kit of the F-100D Super Sabre fighter in 1:72 scale. Sets of this kind usually sharpen up key areas of the model, such as the cockpit, the wheel wells or other exposed details that injection-molded plastic simplifies. It is an accessory for the kit, not a stand-alone model of the aircraft.
The F-100 Super Sabre is an American fighter that went down as the first production type of its maker able to pass the speed of sound in level flight. Version D was the most widespread rendition and found its use above all in the fighter-bomber role. It was a sturdy machine with a long operational career.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces down with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the fit of the parts against the particular kit before you close the fuselage. The detail comes into its own once it is painted and picked out lightly with a wash.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin accessory for the kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
