A replacement ejection seat for the model of the F-104C Starfighter in 1:72 scale. It replaces the simplified part from the kit with a piece of finer execution.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was an American supersonic fighter with very short thin wings and a slender fuselage, which earned it a nickname referring to a missile because of its shapes. The C version served with the US Air Force in the tactical fighter role. On a model in 1:72 scale the cockpit is clearly visible through the one-piece canopy, so even a small difference in the execution of the seat can be seen.
The set brings the ejection seat as a finished replacement part that takes the place of the seat outline from the original kit. The details in this version are sharper than can be made with an ordinary injection mold. Check the exact execution of the seat and the kit the part is cut for in the manufacturer's information.
The part is not polystyrene, so cement for plastic has no effect on it; it is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Cut the excess material and production marks off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest carefully, so as not to take anything off the shape of the seat pan. Wash and degrease the part before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold. Fit the seat into the cockpit only once it is painted and the belts are finished, because once the canopy is closed you will not reach it again.
The model, glue and paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
