About product

Eduard F-14A mask 1:72

A precise set of masks from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:72 scale, intended for a model of the Grumman F-14A Tomcat fighter. The masks are die-cut from yellow kabuki paper masking material, which follows the shape of the canopy frames exactly and holds well even on curved glazing. Once the paint is on you peel them off cleanly, with no adhesive residue.

Use

  • Masking the frames of the windscreen and the canopy before spraying.
  • Sets of this kind usually also hold masks for the wheels (the tires), so that the hub can be sprayed easily.
  • Pick the mask up with tweezers, lay it on the part and press it down; smooth the edges with a wooden stick.
  • Apply the paint in thin coats and take the mask off before the paint has dried completely.

Who it is for

For aircraft modelers who want crisp, even framing around the glazing without the labor of cutting masks from tape.

This is a self-adhesive masking set, an accessory. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
