An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat strike aircraft F-15E Strike Eagle in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. It is a simplified kit with the lower and upper parts of the fuselage molded in one piece, thanks to which the build goes quickly. The box holds a clear canopy part and a decal sheet.
The F-15E Strike Eagle is the two-seat multi-role version of the F-15 fighter, adapted for striking ground targets in all weather and at long range. A weapon systems officer sits in the second cockpit. The machine combines the performance of an air superiority fighter with the ability to carry a heavy load of bombs and guided missiles, and it is one of the mainstays of the US Air Force and of other operators.
Thanks to the one-piece fuselage moldings this is a rewarding quick build. Glue the parts with cement for plastic and mask the canopy glazing. Lay a primer before painting; a uniform dark gray finish is typical. Bring out the panel lines with a wash and even out the surface with a satin coat. If you want a richer load of external stores, reckon with the fact that simplified kits of this range usually carry only a limited number of them.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
