This set from the Czech manufacturer Aires is a cast resin detail accessory, not a standalone model. It replaces the production nozzles of the turbofan engines with faithfully cast resin parts with a finely worked interior and nozzle walls. It is intended for plastic models of the F-15E Strike Eagle fighter in 1:72 scale and raises the realism of the rear engine section considerably.
The set holds cast resin parts of the exhaust nozzles. It serves to improve a finished plastic model; it assumes that the original plastic parts are cut off and the resin replacements seated in their place. It suits modelers who want to take the detail of the engine section beyond the level of a boxed kit.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Before painting we suggest a base coat of primer for better paint adhesion.
This is an accessory, not a complete kit. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
