Die-cut masking film for the F-35A Lightning II aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Eduard.
Responsibility details are not available.
Cutting frames out of adhesive tape by hand is among the most tiresome parts of a build and in a small scale the result tends to come out crooked. This set offers pre-cut shapes on a yellow adhesive film, which adapts well to rounded surfaces and leaves no sticky traces behind when it is removed. The frames therefore come out equally wide all the way around the canopy.
Lift the film off with pointed tweezers and press it down with a toothpick, so that the edge seats firmly. Cover the rest of the glazing with ordinary tape or masking fluid. Spray in thin layers; a heavy coat runs under the edge. Remove the masks while the finish is freshly cured, not after several days, when the edge has grown brittle.
The letter A marks the land-based variant of the fifth-generation fighter, meant for a conventional takeoff from a runway. Compared with the short takeoff and the carrier versions it has a simpler fuselage layout and a built-in gun, and it is the most widespread of the whole family; a number of European and overseas air forces fly it. The shape of the cockpit canopy is characteristic of it and the shapes offered match it.
The contents are the masking film only; no plastic parts are enclosed.
