About product

Mr.Paint Dark Wood (WWI)

The model paint Dark Wood (WWI) is a pigmented lacquer from Mr.Paint. The shade captures the dark wood typical of the wooden and plywood structures of First World War aircraft. The paint is supplied ready for airbrush spraying straight from the bottle and is meant to be applied over a primer.

Use

  • Painting the wooden and plywood surfaces of aircraft from the First World War period
  • Airbrush application, recommended pressure roughly 10 to 25 psi
  • Thinned with the lacquer thinner of the same range (Mr.Paint lacquer thinner), not with water
  • Apply in thin coats over a good primer

Who the paint is for

For modelers of First World War aircraft and for anyone who needs a realistic dark wood shade. It is a lacquer, so do not confuse it with acrylic or enamel paints and do not thin it with water.

A flammable liquid. Use in a well-ventilated space, away from open flame, ideally with respiratory protection and extraction.
