A sheet of wet decals from the French maker Syhart Decal containing markings for two German aircraft of the test establishment, an F-4F Phantom II (serial 37+16) and a Panavia Tornado IDS (serial 45+03), in the commemorative camouflage schemes for 50 years of the WTD 61 establishment, dating from 2007. The package contains a decal sheet and a color guide. It is an accessory for a kit, not a model of the aircraft.
WTD 61 (Wehrtechnische Dienststelle 61) is the German establishment for testing and developing military aircraft, based at Manching and founded in the 1950s. For its 50th anniversary two aircraft, a Phantom and a Tornado, were painted with commemorative motifs of the unit. The F-4F Phantom II is a two-seat fighter, the Tornado IDS a two-seat attack aircraft with a variable-geometry wing.
Apply the small 1:72 decals in smaller groups onto a smooth gloss coat, with a decal softener to help them settle onto curved surfaces and into the engraved lines. Seal the finished markings with a clear coat to the level of gloss you want.
This is a decal set, not a kit. The models, paints and glue are not included in the package.
