This resin conversion set makes it possible to convert a kit of the Mustang fighter into the F-6D photo-reconnaissance version in 1:72 scale. It is not a stand-alone airplane model but a set of parts that completes and reworks a plastic kit into the form of the reconnaissance variant.
The Mustang was an American fighter of the Second World War with a powerful V12 engine and a long range. Besides the fighter role, a photo-reconnaissance version was also derived from it, designated F-6, which carried cameras to take photographs. The conversion thus turns an ordinary fighter into that specialized reconnaissance variant.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces; protect your airways while sanding. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The conversion calls for reworking the plastic parts, so think the procedure through before gluing and keep checking the fit as you go.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
