A plastic kit of the Fairchild C-123B Provider (Roden) in 1:72 scale: the American tactical transport aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American transport aircraft in 1:72 scale from Roden. It represents the C-123B Provider version with its high-set wing, a pair of piston engines and a rear cargo ramp. The box holds gray plastic parts with fine detail, clear parts for the glazing and a well-worked cockpit with an instrument panel. Expect the parts of kits from this maker to carry sprue nubs and flash, which are worth cleaning up before the build.
The C-123 Provider was an American tactical transport aircraft intended to supply units and to carry cargo even to rough field strips. The high-set wing and the rear ramp made loading and unloading easier, and the rugged landing gear coped with broken ground. The C-123B version was powered by a pair of powerful piston engines. The aircraft became known for its long service with the US Air Force and its allies, among other places during the conflict in Southeast Asia.
First clean the flash and the sprue nubs off the parts and dry-fit them thoroughly before gluing. Finish the cockpit and the cargo bay first, and only then close up the fuselage. Use liquid cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush, and mask the glazing before painting. Bring the large wing and fuselage surfaces to life with soft transitions of shade, washes in the engraved lines and discreet patina from service wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
