Quickboost 1:72 F-8 Crusader ejection seat with belts is a resin set that replaces the simplified plastic seat on a model of the American Crusader carrier-based fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from Quickboost, made by the Czech company Aires, brings a faithfully cast ejection seat with seat belts indicated for a model of the American Vought F-8 Crusader carrier-based fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory for more experienced modelers, replacing the coarser plastic seat with a sharp casting with a richer cockpit structure.
The Vought F-8 Crusader was an American carrier-based supersonic fighter of the Cold War era, characterized by its variable-incidence wing, which made takeoff and landing on an aircraft carrier deck easier. It was used during the Vietnam War in both the fighter and the reconnaissance role. The cockpit with its ejection seat is one of the clearly visible places on a model.
First wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water to remove any release residue. Cut off the casting block with a saw and sand the cut face with respiratory protection. Bond the seat with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with plastic cement. Pick out the cast belts with shades and a wash; dry-fit the part before closing up the cockpit.
The set is supplied as a resin part, unassembled and unpainted. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
