This resin set holds precisely cast leading-edge slats for the wing of models of the F-8 Crusader fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory that replaces the corresponding parts of a kit and refines the shape of the leading edge of the wing.
The Vought F-8 Crusader was an American carrier-based fighter with a characteristic variable-incidence wing, which was raised for take-off and landing. The details on the leading edge of the wing took part in the behavior of the aircraft at low speeds and are among the prominent features of the real machine.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and clean up the mating faces. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand resin with respiratory protection. Use a primer before painting, which will even out the transition between the resin and the plastic of the wing.
This is an accessory for a model, not a stand-alone kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
